Leadership Team

Rikke Stockwell

Responsible Individual

With over 26 years of experience working with children in various roles and settings, Rikke brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Avanti Children Services. Her background includes 20 years in residential childcare and 15 years in management, working with children and young adults with emotional and behavioural difficulties, learning disabilities, autism, and other psychological needs. Rikke has a strong track record of achieving outstanding outcomes and maintaining high standards in children’s homes. Her dedication and passion for improving the lives of children are the driving force behind our success.

Mark Griffiths

Registered Manager

Mark joined Avanti Children Services in February 2024, bringing over 20 years of experience in residential childcare. He has held various positions, including Residential Support Worker, Deputy Home Manager, Interim Home Manager, and Ofsted Registered Manager. Mark is committed to creating a safe and stable environment for children, helping them understand and manage their emotions and behaviours. He is trained in safeguarding, therapeutic parenting, and behavioural management. Mark’s approach is centred on building trust and positive relationships with the children, ensuring they feel valued and supported.

Our Carers

Our carers are the backbone of our service, providing day-to-day support and nurturing care to the children at Jasmine House. Each carer is carefully selected for their qualities of empathy, patience, and dedication. They are extensively trained in therapeutic parenting approaches, including Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP) and the principles of Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy (PACE).

Our carers are more than just caregivers; they are mentors, role models, and trusted friends to the children. They bring joy, stability, and a sense of belonging to the lives of those they care for. Through their unwavering commitment and genuine care, our carers help children build self-esteem, resilience, and hope for the future.

Support Staff

Our support staff ensure the smooth operation of Jasmine House, taking care of administrative tasks, maintenance, and other essential functions. Their dedication allows our carers to focus on providing the best possible care to our children. They play a crucial role in creating a safe and welcoming environment where children can thrive.

Training and Development

Continuous professional development is a cornerstone of our practice. Our team undergoes regular training to stay updated on the latest therapeutic techniques and best practices in childcare. This includes:

Therapeutic Parenting: Training in DDP and PACE principles.

Safeguarding and Child Protection: Ensuring all staff are equipped to protect and support the children in our care.

Specialist Training: Covering areas such as managing challenging behaviours, supporting children with special educational needs, and understanding the effects of trauma.
